Tiredness and dizziness on GLP-1s
Fatigue and dizziness are listed side effects of semaglutide and tirzepatide. What the labels report, and what they connect them to.
What the labels report
Fatigue was reported by 11% of people on Wegovy (5% on placebo) and 5% to 7% on Zepbound (3% on placebo). Dizziness: 8% on Wegovy (4% on placebo) and 4% to 5% on Zepbound (2% on placebo).
The Zepbound label notes that low blood pressure (1.6% against 0.1%) also occurred alongside stomach side effects and dehydration. For people with type 2 diabetes, both labels list low blood sugar, which can include dizziness, as a risk.
| Placebo | On the drug | |
|---|---|---|
| Fatigue, Wegovy | 5% | 11% |
| Dizziness, Wegovy | 4% | 8% |
| Fatigue, Zepbound | 3% | 5–7% |
| Dizziness, Zepbound | 2% | 4–5% |

When the label says to call
Both labels tell people to contact their healthcare provider if stomach problems are severe or won't go away. Wegovy's Medication Guide adds: "It is important for you to drink fluids to help reduce your chance of dehydration. Tell your healthcare provider right away if you have nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea that does not go away." Persistent or severe abdominal pain, sometimes reaching through to the back, is listed as a possible sign of pancreatitis.
Keeping a record
PepMe's Journal rates energy and sleep from 0 to 10, so a dip shows up as a line over the weeks rather than a vague memory, next to your doses and weight.
